Bridge has been repaired – - YEA!

Posted by eTrails blazer on Jun 13, 2011 in Trail Issues, Workbees | 0 comments

When you next see the local DNR at the horse campgroung, do take a moment to give thanks to all the labor and time they provided to fix the bridge.  OREA supplied the funds to buy lumber and hardware for the repairs but the successful completion was due in large part to considerable time provided by DNR and also our association’s President Steve Keim was there  for long weekend days.  I apologize as there was a few other members contributing their handyman skills to the project but the editor of this post does not have their names.

Kudos to all the volunteered!!!!!

Workbee – June 4th

Posted by eTrails blazer on May 23, 2011 in Workbees | 2 comments

Our next work bee is on Saturday, June 4 at 10 am to clear back brush
from the trails and if we have enough help and tractors, to fill in the section
of trail before the bridge with gravel filling in the beaver damage. Need
tractors with front-end loaders & 4-wheel drive and shovels and shovel
operators for the gravelling and loppers, saws, and willing hands for the trail
clearing. The more people we can get to show up, the more trail we can brush.

We are have our first major workbee this year on Saturday May 21st startng at 10 am.  The major project is to rebuild the bridge and secondarily to some work on the trails.  Work tools you may bring along include shovels, rakes, hammers, work gloves, pruners, tree limb saws, etc.  If you can’t stay all day but can contribute a couple of hours that would be terrific.  YOUR HELP IS IMPORTANT AND VALUED!

We hope to see you there!
