Pictures and Update from Ride for the Troops 2011
A huge thanks to all that participated and helped us raise more than $400 to be contributed to Desert Angel for Miracle Boxes to our special troops serving overseas. Every little bit helps to show our troops how much we care and appreciate their efforts. Additional thanks to Tamra Hartwig and her daughter Brianna for organizing and making this event happen every year and to Lise Mouthaan for her continued support and assistance. Kudos girls for making this happen again in 2011, I know it was a stretch for all of you but you pulled it off . . . again....

Canceled – Horseshoe Hunt previously scheduled for June 18th
Our annual horseshoe hunt scheduled for June 18th has been canceled due to lack of a volunteer to lead the event.
Dedicated riders participate in Memorial weekend poker ride and snub noses at the weather . . .
Mother Nature has sure been testing OREA ( Not to mention the farmers, carpenters, anyone with outside activity planned) The park was almost empty save for a few trailers when I pulled up Saturday AM. Bit by bit a few more rolled in and we had about 15 riders participate. It is very muddy at the trail head. It was suggested to everyone to take the road and go into the trails at the old Jossman path (Trail marker #2) around the backside by Tody Rd. It wasn’t as bad. Everyone had a great time despite the muddy mess.
